A Paragraph is any amount of text, graphics objects or other items that are followed by the a paragraph mark. A Paragraph mark is inserted each time while a pressing enter key.
Format a paragraph by placing the cursor within the paragraph and selecting Format|Paragraph from the menu bar.
Indent paragraph: sometimes we may have to leave some margins on the left and right side of a paragraph is called indent paragraph. To indent paragraphs automatically. Steps to create hanging paragraph
- Select the paragraph.
- Then click on the format menu and select the Paragraph command. Word displays the paragraph dialog box as shown in figure
- Click on the drop – down arrow on the right side of the special text box. Word displays three options in a list box. The options displayed in the list box are (none), first line and Hanging.
- Select ‘hanging’ from the list box.
- Press the Enter key or select the OK button. A hanging paragraph will be created
