MS WORD Saving Your Document

When you are ready to save your file you can just click the Save button save.  If you have saved the file before, Word will simply resave it.  If you have never saved it before Word will ask for a name:

Keeping track of where you save your files is one of the best ways to avoid frustration and keep from throwing your computer out a window.  I like to keep my files in the default “My Documents” folder or an appropriately-named subfolder.

 

Also, you can bring up the Save As… screen even for previously saved files by choosing File and then Save As…  This allows you to save the file under a new name.
